On the road again.

22 Jun

Today we sadly left Wyoming. We had an awesome experience thanks to Kami and Ryan! We took so many pictures that it will take a while to get them on here. Our camping in the mountains was alot of fun and I fished the most beautiful stream yesterday with snowcapped mountains in the distance! It was like what you see in the movies!

Before heading into the mountains, today, we stopped at a site that has dinosaur footprints in the rock. Pretty neat to see. We then had another cool drive through the mountains heading east. We took a different route than we came and saw 3 moose, 2 of them were pretty close to the road. From there we headed into Montana and to “Custer’s Last Stand” battlefield. This is where General Custer lead his army to defeat the Indians but pretty much got obliterated. Besides the monument where Custer died, there are rolling hills containing tombstones where soldiers and natives where killed. Upon leaving the national monument I noticed our back tire was low on air. We took the car to a gas station and filled the tire but we could hear air leaking. We eventually found a tire place that was open at 6pm and they fixed it for us. After that fiasco we continued on east until we found a hotel at 10:30pm in Glendive, Montana. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Sad note to pass on… our pet gerbil “Gilbert” aka Gilllll-beeeee died in a tragic accident yesterday. He will be missed. R.I.P. little man. :(
